GAMTEL-SONATEL MOU “NOTHING NEW IS NOTHING GOOD”-BILLS ARE TO RISE SOONEST!
By Hammadi Maasinah
“NOTHING NEW IS NOTHING GOOD” came from the minds of strategists yearning for change. New here means change. Isn’t that suitable for Yahya Jammeh’s regime of “chronic” decadence. Every day we receive misleading “ego-massaging” bites with endless lines of false hopes. Never will I and others sit back only to allow innocent souls being misled by Yahya’s endless falsehood. Never! We all love to see The Gambia develop but what I for one hate to see, is methods like Yahya’s. Yahya excels in methods that are geared towards BUILDING CASTLES IN THE AIR. I will prove that in this piece on a case by case basis. With facts, figures, references and results.

By Justice Sam And MB Ceesay, Banjul.
While Gambia’s President Yahya Jammeh receives millions of dollars from the Liberian and Sierra Leonean “BLOOD DIAMONS” or conflict diamonds as it is widely refereed to, on the other hand, the two manor-river countries suffered untold atrocities from the said arms shipment from Banjul to the war ravaged West African countries. These arms were airlifted by the President’s personal jet the new millennium airline. The airline was under the direct supervision of Baba K Jobe and some relatives of the President, whose names are preserved for security reasons. The Gambian leader benefited from the conflict diamonds and was partly responsible for the demise of thousands of Sierra Leonean and Liberians during the period of the war, the leaked intelligence report hinted.

AS DIASPOREANS POISED TO STORM GAMBIA FOR ROOTS FESTIVAL - PRESIDENT JAMMEH URGED TO BEHAVE Tuesday, April 29, 2008 (623 reads)
AS DIASPOREANS POISED TO STORM GAMBIA FOR ROOTS FESTIVAL - PRESIDENT JAMMEH URGED TO BEHAVE
BY WISE MAN
As thousands of cultural connoisseurs including Africans in the Diaspora gear-up for the eagerly-awaited and much-talked about forthcoming International Roots Homecoming Festival slated to place in The Gambia , the inhabitants of Juffereh, the birthplace of the legendary slave Kunta Kinteh have called on the Gambian President to give the event a fitting attention. The concerned residents posited that they are grossly unhappy with the way and manner President Jammeh has been handling the all-important cultural galore in recent years . "The Roots Festival is a unique opportunity that the government and people of The Gambia should capitalize on to sell the country's rich cultural diversity to the wider world. But instead of allowing the visitors to have eye-opening experiences about country's rich cultures , the President is now using the event to promote only the Jola culture," says our source.

Fatou Jaw Manneh’s case:who is helping, who is implicating?
By Hammadi Maasinah
This piece is not a rebuttal, it is a reconfirmation of my what I wrote vis-à-vis the FJ Manneh’s case earlier and recently. Look here sometimes it amazes me when street smart people cannot see the cracks between a falling wall. A wall that’s rushing to crush them for that matter! Yes it does amaze me a lot. Having said that, my take on the “apparent” rebuttal from our good citizen claiming to be a “former” security officer, will leave no stone unturned.

Call for protection of Editor M'bai's family-Writes Nyalinkoi Sonko Ohio Monday, April 28, 2008 (869 reads)
By Nyalinkoi Sonko,
Cincinati, Ohio
Dear Editor,
I wish to join the good Gambians and Friends of The Gambia to condemn the latest threat on you and your family emanating from President Yahya Jammeh and his gang of thugs. We know that the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) is responsible for this cowardly act. Therefore, I wish to make my voice heard and put across the fact that we should not under-estimate the dictator's capability.

APRC Supporter Warns Freedom Editors And Family In The Gambia!! Monday, April 28, 2008 (928 reads)
By Ahmadou Ajacksonebrahim
Man,
I really understood what your opinions are about my recent comments in the Freedom Newspaper. Anyway, I will be pleased if you publish my this piece so that those of you who criticized me will have a better understanding of the issue at hand .I still stand firmly by my words. No u-turn for me. I think if we are talking of human rights we should be cleared on the terminology very well. I am not a sycophant as some of you are implying.I have seen Gambia yesterday and today, so the difference are very clear to all right-thinking people. So you people are the biggest fools of all time if you realize what you people are doing out there.

Aziz Hydara Is the State Witness In Fatou Jaw Manneh's Case- Reveals Ex NIA Officer!! Monday, April 28, 2008 (658 reads)
By Musa Jammeh, a former Security Agent
Dear Editor,
I thank you very much for your service to our country. My name is Musa Jammeh.I live in Vienna, Austria for the past ten years.I am a former state security agent to my uncle Yahya Jammeh in the Gambia.I completely broke away from him after falling apart with him in our Dobong family land issue in 1996.
I have been keenly following events in the Gambia through the Freedom Newspaper.I am very much angry about the way they are treating this young lady called Fatou Jaw Manneh. How many of her calibre has visited the Gambia without much ado.Recently my cousin name withheld by Editors left the Gambia from a brief visit without any problem.I think she is innocent.
Therefore,i wish to disclose the name of the NIA operative in her case to avoid double standards. His name is Aziz Hydara,a half baked educated georgetownian as we refer to them at Armitage. The only 1992 Armitage graduates in the NIA presently are Aziz and Mariatou Janko. The latter is in one of the embassies in the gulf.Sambujang Fatty and Samba Kebbeh were also in the NIA but have since resigned and resides in europe today.Ebrima Kinteh,Jalamang Janko,Saihou jeng 1993,Omar Tunkara 1995 are the other Armitage products in the NIA power echelons.
Aziz's notoriety is widely realised in the Gambia. He is said to be behind the Mandorry book saga and other high profile state cases;torturing captives with no just cause. This mulatto style boy whose parents settled opposite Methodist Primary School from Mauritania was a nobody in our school days.He needs to be checked.
Please acknowledge receipt of this letter and publish it for public viewing.
Editors note: Mr. Jammeh we censored our colleague's name for ethical reasons. We do not want the NIA to arrest him, if he visits Banjul in the future. It was great to hear that he visits Banjul unnoticed by the Agency. People are visiting Banjul, despite Yahya's bluff. Thanks. Please join us in exposing your uncle.

Yahya Jammeh and First Lady Fight Over Fatou Jaw Manneh Case. Watchman Monday, April 28, 2008 (927 reads)
Yahya Jammeh and First Lady Fight Over Fatou Jaw Manneh Case. Watchman
Intimacy levels between Dr. Yahya Jammeh, Chief Oppressor of Gambian citizens, and his spouse First Lady Zainab Jammeh are at an all time low due to Fatou Jow Manneh. In a sign that even those close to the corridors of power have a conscience, First Lady Zainab Jammeh has been harshly criticizing the President's foolish insistence that the beleaguered and heroic Fatou Jow Manneh be taught " a lesson". As the dynamic of Hillary Clinton's fight for the Democratic nomination shows, women tend to close ranks when they get the impression one of their kind is being piled on and the first lady's instincts are no different from any other female's. She is utterly disgusted and wants her husband to bring the journalist's fate to a dignified end.
