Kebba Krubally Dies!!!
All is not cool and dandy in The Gambia, as the 2008 Roots Home Coming Festival started Monday, with the Director of Tourism killed in an automobile accident, the Freedom Newspaper can authoritatively report. Tourism Director Musa Kurabally met his untimely death Monday, when the Government vehicle he was traveling with crashed in the Central River Region. The bloody accident left him dead on the spot, while his driver was critically injured.
Musa Kurabally, who lives in Dippa-Kunda, led a delegation of African American visitors, to Janjangbureh and Wassu on Monday, when the accident occurred. None of the African American visitors were hurt in the said accident.
Janjangbureh and Wassu are historical sites, where slaves were trafficked to overseas, during the old days. The African Americans visit The Gambia, in search for roots.
Barely few days after the demise of the NCP leader Sheriff Dibba, another top public official died Monday. This year’s Roots Home Coming Festival is going to be affected by Krubally’s demise. Many expressed shock over his demise.
Krubally, who was in his late 40’s, was blessed with a wife and family. He was in Birmingham on studies, with his wife Yamundow. Upon the completion of his course, he returned home. He was first hired as Deputy Tourism Director and later Acting Director. His brother Pa Sainey Kurabally is still in London with his wife and family.
