Jammeh issues Visa Restrictions Against Western Countries!!

Jammeh government issues note verbale against western countries!

A note verbal released to all Gambian missions abroad was intercepted by our foot soldiers on the ground. This note has so far been sent to Gambian missions abroad. Some have received it others are yet to lay their hands on it.

Contents of the note verbales

All visa applicants from countries like the USA and UK should be subjected to rigorous interviews henceforth. This is a directive coming directly from the state house to be more specific President Jammeh according to sources in his own office. President Jammeh says that all missions which subject Gambian visa applicants to what he call "extreme" interviews should face his government's retaliation forthwith! Therefore our missions have been advised "underneath" to make sure that visitors from countries like the USA and UK should be subjected to very very rigorous interviews as and when they apply for visas to go to The Gambia. The government may deny this but they know that the note is out there! I have read the note in question! This move will harm Gambians who have since adopted US or UK citizenship more than it will affect those who have original links with our country! In today's world papers identify people not color. If this is done across the board then Gambians in the USA,UK and France who are citizens or whose kids are citizens will suffer much more than those "whites" President Jammeh hates! The issue of transnational exchanges are not based coulour, they are based on administrative principles period.

The reason behind Jammeh's anger

This whole noise is not for our people's benefit he is angry about the way his wife, kids and his own mother were treated according to very authentic sources. President Jammeh has ever since been so angry against diplomatic missions from the west. I mean those stationed in The Gambia particularly the US one but has been cautioned not to blow it out in public. Last year we remember when one of the members of his mother's delegation was denied a visa. She was redirected to Bruxells, Belgium out of frustration and anger. The state house delegations have been subjected to thorough interviews for the past months especially after Yankuba Touray's wife's scandalous trip to the USA. This according to sources has angered Jammeh so much. However, Gambians should not swallow this bait so easily. In fact why would Jammeh say so now? The same President Jammeh used to argue with former NAM Hamat Bah on this issue. He used to fume against Gambian youths applying for passports and visas during the early days of his government. This very reason made him increase the fees on passports!

Today Jammeh is retaliating because his family was humiliated by officials who are simply doing their job? We should instead support these embassies therefore they will sideline Jammeh delegations of scammers only to help ordinary people get visas in the most objective way.

The state house has been accusing different people of being this and that right? Today here they are yapping over visas. President Jammeh himself exposed his entourage to such degrading approaches because he has been discovered as a person of interest in a lot of dubious things! If he continues using his delegations to the west to help people get their passages through the back door he himself may face a travel ban.

If the same Jammeh is blaming PS Bai Ousman Secka and Mr Juwara why send that note verbal to his missions abroad then?
