Michael Scales On Pap Saine!!

Dear Mr.Editor,
We English have a saying..". kill two birds with one stone"

The first I'm not particular if the stone strikes...the second....well I'd rather it missed.
The first is Pap Saine.... the second is the NAM for Foni Kansala,
the HON. Sheriff Abba Sanyang.

As we are concerned with "people who throw stones" as is penned by the immortal Pap Saine....In todays editorial at "The Point" which is ensconced in a labryinth of pernicious meloncholia..... please allow me to quote from his pen dated Tuesday 5th June 2007 and I quote.........

According to Unimpeachable sources, from official circles, the management of Gambia International Airlines {GIA} has been contracted to G.S.Aviation, an experienced European Airline operator. Our sources added that the Gambian Government, as part of its divestiture programme of public enterprises, has contracted the management of GIA, for an initial period of 5 years with effect from 1st June 2007.
As with such like take overs, the invariable cause is partly seen in redundancies or some other hostile reversal of the status quo. That our sources say, that this is  an unlikely scenario as GIA is viable and has been
perfoming well enough to merit an improvement rather than a deteriation in its situation.     Un quote.......Pap Saine The Point Newspaper.

Screams of laughter do I hear from the audience ????????

May I commend most highly the Honourable member for Foni Kansala in prompting the National Assembly and the Honourable Minister responsible, as to why the GIA has lost 84 million Dalasis in less time that it takes for the Honourable Minister for information to get married ?

Now I've made a promise not to interfere too deeply in Gambian affairs as I dont want to end up like my good friend Dida Halake, next time I'm invited to spend my hard earned cash with the next Minister of Youth and Sport.

Did someone say it is no longer Samba Faal....Oh theirs been two more since then ? Oh so sorry....Maybe I should book my flight first as their may be another change whilst i'm flying over the Atlas Mountains.

Mr.Editor, may I leave this matter in your highly capable hands?I just love to see democracy developing in Africa.

                                                                    I remain Michael....U.K.
