Subject: Your Valuable Sharing on Human Rights Development to Help the World
Dear Essa Bokarr Sey,
Hope this mail finds you well. Time and space does not keep us apart. With genuine care and greetings, people are connected and the friendship lasts. On behalf of the UN/NGO Association of World Citizens (AWC), the Federation of World Peace and Love (FOWPAL), the Tai Ji Men Qigong Academy and the Dr. Hong Tao-Tze Culture and Education Foundation, we thank you for your contribution to mankind and the world, and extend our warmest regards to wish you all the best. Taking this opportunity, we would like to share with you the inspiring achievement about our activities and invite you to take part.
Mankind’s continued existence has been put to the test by repeated occurrences of nature disasters and abnormal climate changes over the past decade. For centuries, human beings have shown little respect for Mother Nature by consuming the planet’s natural resources without control; this continued devastation of the earth and nature has now returned our ignorance with disasters and man-made calamities in record breaking frequency and severity over the past decades and frequently exceeding the severity of events over the past hundred years. Many countries have encountered political and economic fluctuations; internal disorders and wars are becoming more frequent and are not easily settled in a short timeframe. In addition to getting used to the climate changes, we have to adjust ourselves in recognition of these changes and take action to fit into the new order of the world. It’s time for humanity to wake up to the fact that the world is changing and exercise consciousness to save ourselves, to save people and to save the earth. We should join together, hand in hand and put into practice the heavenly-endowed heart of compassion, mercy, goodness, justice, courage and wisdom to promote world peace, harmony and social welfare.
These are the reasons why I called for the 2010 World Summit on Human Rights (WSHR) for world citizens in early March and held the global Summit with less-than-a-month of preparation.
The 2010 WSHR was successfully concluded on April 1. More than 700 elites from around the world attended the Summit. The Summit was broadcast live through the AWC website and teleconferencing and has received wide recognitions and discussions among heads of state and government, prominent figures in various circles, academics and professionals from different fields. These leaders have also contributed their own perspectives to the Summit with articles that include theoretical and practical examples to form an important database for reference that focuses on human rights development for world citizens, environmental protection and the collective efforts to safeguard the earth.
To date, the Summit has collected near to two thousands articles on human rights. Additionally, letters and congratulatory notes from over 400 organizations from 74 countries were received, including those from the Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations, UN ambassadors, Former UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan, a Former Chairperson of the UN NGO Executive Committee, the Chairperson of the 57th Annual DPI/NGO Conference, Secretary General of Amnesty International, Presidents of Lebanon, Ireland, Croatia, Ecuador and Brazil, Kings of Luxemburg, Belgium and Thailand, Queen of Jordan, Queen of Denmark, Prime Ministers of UK, Canada, Iceland, Netherlands, Ireland, Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Australia, and Solomon Islands, Governor-Generals of Belize, Australia, Canada and Jamaica, Former President of Ireland and former UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, President of the Chamber of Deputies of Paraguay, Parliament members from different countries, the Nelson Mandela Foundation, the Office of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, as well as many non-governmental organizations around the world. These participants and supporters positive responses to the conference theme show that humans are united as we strive for a world where human rights are protected and the earth is safeguarded.
All things follow the Laws of Nature. The origin of the universe and human beings are one. It is world citizen’s duties and responsibilities to protect human rights and save the planet. The God-given human rights are a demonstration of God’s mercy by giving mankind the basic rights of life. We should cherish our own lives, appreciate these rights and refrain from abusing the others rights. Protecting human rights is a universal value and our collective understanding. There can be no democracy or liberty without human rights, such a state is against humanity. Every individual should shoulder the responsibility to safeguard the earth for it is the only common home for all humans. We are all children of the earth and our survival depends on mother earth. The earth can do without us, but we cannot do without her. Human beings and the earth are part of the greater nature. We should wake up to this reality and work together to safeguard the earth and to create a world of peace and stability.
Although the 2010 WSHR has successfully concluded, the Summit continues to receive articles and congratulatory notes. In recognition to responses from various fields and the fact that every world citizen should pay attention and realize the principle of “Practicing God-given human rights based upon the people and the rule of law to protect human rights and safeguard earth”, I declare every April the Month of Human Rights for World Citizens and will extend the collection of articles until the end of June, and invite world citizens to share their voices in order to reach a consensus to lead and guide mankind toward a brighter future. We encourage governments and others with insights to list pros and cons against human rights development in different countries. In this way we can inspire people learn from one another and to improve for the better. When we make the decision to do something good, this is “How one good thought can improve the world.” It’s everyone’s mission to protect human rights and save the earth, and to make the world a place that embraces peace, harmony, security and stability.
I hereby cordially invite you to share with world citizens your viewpoint about the human rights development, love and peace experiences and how we together safeguard the earth for world peace. You are welcomed to invite your family and friends in various circles to participate. Words of wisdom are powerful to help people and the world. Please send the articles via fax, by mail or email at info@fowpal.org. All collected articles will be compiled and sent to the United Nations and related authorities, to serve as reference for furthering human rights development. All information is now available at www.fowpal.org for your easy reference and understanding about the event.
In closing, I would like to wish you and your family good health and happiness, and for the world be blessed with prosperity lasting peace.
Sincerely,
Dr. Hong, Tao-Tze

Reply from Essa Bokarr Sey to the Honorary Ambassador of peace! Tai Ji men 2002.
I do acknowledge receipt of your letter referenced hereunder. Your great organization's readiness to promote the respect for human rights and human dignity is one of the best steps humanity has ever taken during these trying times. The world is going through a high tide of conflicts in almost every corner of the globe, therefore any effort that is geared towards promoting peace is noble, godly and timely to say the least.
I fully remember when I visited your center in 2002 while I was in Taiwan as an envoy of The Gambia government. During that very occasion I was privileged to deliver a speech and share ideas with the honorable members of Tai Ji Men under your wise leadership. My little children and wife who witnessed a show of martial arts at the same place, still remember the honorable way you received us. Indeed you are A GREAT LEADER with unique qualities. The video shows we saw there taught us one very important thing! That is, peace and love are the best ways to enhance the lives of people in this world.
Presently I live in the USA and working as a banker with one of the world's strongest financial institutions. On the other hand with others I am running self employed services as a professional. Our services or consultancy are directly related to the usage of languages and communication while building bridges between people, societies, institutions and nations. No professional line or any other function for that matter can succeed where there is no peace! That is where organizations like Tai Ji Men are an integral part of society within the world community of nations. I will never hesitate to represent Tai Ji Men's interest anywhere in the world. I will also be more than happy if I am supported to start a mini Tai Ji Men bureau where I live now being Louisville Kentucky USA. The promotion of peace cannot be compensated monetarily because it is so vast and rewarding. The reward is more spiritual than material therefore it is a divine duty to promote peace in this world at all times.
I can be contacted either via phone(XXXXXX) or email(XXXXXX).
Yours Sincerely,
Ambassador (Rtd) Essa Bokarr Sey

In view of the correspondence here under and with reference to the said subject our letters(your invitation and my reply) have been forwarded to Mr Pa Nderry Mbai editor of the freedomnewspaper.com a premier Gambian online paper based in the United States of America in Raleigh North Carolina. The medium referenced herein is one of the platforms where communication is being used in the most effective way to promote human rights, social justice and the rule of law. These educative exchanges online do also help safeguard nature in the most appropriate way as the latter is also part of FOWPAL's priorities. I forwarded your message of peace and responsibility via this journal''s editor because he is active as a respected professional in his field. It also has a wide readership. I do also contribute on the same paper as a columnist. In my capacity as FOWPAL's Ambassador of peace please allow me to add the name or the following site (www.freedomnewspaper.com) into our great organization's library and or archives. The latter can serve as ease of reference for any person, institution or other interested parties who shall without any doubt in my mind find the paper's educative contributions so useful. I know how much a useful source FOWPAL is to many people in the world some of whom are leaders or highly respected educators or promoters of peace and the rule of law. Mr Chairman, journalists are conductors of messages and social watchdogs therefore their role in supporting agenda's like FOWPAL's is paramount. On that note I formally introduce Editor Mbai and team to you. I would also appreciate whatever support the freedomnewspaper.com can get from FOWPAL or other strings it can pull on the former's behalf.
Have a good weekend Mr Chairman.
Yours,
Ambassador (Rtd) Essa Bokarr Sey.
