Gambia: BOYCOTT THE APRC (ONE PARTY STATE) MOCKERY ELECTIONS!
BOYCOTT THE APRC (ONE PARTY STATE) MOCKERY ELECTIONS!

TAIWAN IS NECESSARY EVIL FOR THE GAMBIA!

CREATE A THIRD FORCE THUS DETER AN UPRISING INSIDE THE GAMBIA!

A WARNING TO ALL GAMBIANS HOME AND ABROAD, THE INTERNATIONAL COMMUNITY AND THE ECOWAS SUB REGION!

 Ambassador Essa Bokarr Sey.

By associating all variables and by looking at all indications no one can convince any serious minded person that elections are possible under the current political situations inside The Gambia. Indeed difference in political opinion does help shape public opinion within a  democratic process but the question is this one! Is that possible where the rule of law means nothing? The current political climate inside The Gambia cannot be hidden or covered regardless of what argument one uses as a yard stick. It is nothing more than a dictatorship at the farthest. Therefore nothing new or nothing good should be expected from a situation like this! The latter is also the very reason why some latest opinions do  beg to differ from those who believe that free and fair elections can be held under the APRC regime,  especially where we have President Yahya Jammeh at the hem of things. It is not possible and will never be possible!  This will be revisited in due course and I will be vindicated. Some will argue that boycotting the elections is a “carte blanche” for Jammeh to declare himself a winner! To those people I have a clear message. Which is this! Yahya Jammeh can go ahead and declare himself a winner where the elections are boycotted for reasons well known to all of us but let him also STAND BY FOR THE UNEXPECTED! I will leave it at that! If he is so determined to rule by force he should also be determine to respect the results of force where he creates the atmosphere to be tested! Of course he will be tested!

This is not empty rhetoric Yahya and you will  know that!

Even whereas we as Gambians home and abroad have always  been trying to get juice out of pebbles it has now become quite clear that pebbles cannot produce liquid! Pretension should not be allowed to rule over reality. That is bad taste for mature politics.

The creation of a third force AN ORGANIZED NETWORK and the establishment of effective services  through coordination and organizational discipline is the only way out for us at this hour.

If we fail to create a third force therefore help mount pressure on the Jammeh regime to vacate power, then let’s all brace up for worse days ahead. We all understand how mature and civil our political party leaders have been all these years but we must also remember that The Gambia has already eaten 45 good years of Its life as a  “so-called” independent nation! We have only 5 years left to hit 50 on the chart.  Also remember  that Senegal just celebrated Its fiftieth Independence anniversary this past April 2010. That means The Gambia is not a young nation at all where Post Colonial Africa is put to test! Within a clear concept we have so far been ruled by two regimes during the past 45 years! That is too bad for a growing nation. Many people in the US put their palms on their mouths to show a sign of surprise when we tell them that for the past 45 years The Gambia has only seen 2 Presidents! We have a case to sell folks We have it right before our door steps. When compared to Senegal we are still on the worse part of history’s math. Ours is based on excessive minuses where positive is put on the chart and excessive heat where negative is put on the chart.  An old African proverb taught us this! “When something is too cold no one can hold it on the palm and when something is too hot no one can hold it on the palm either”. What is too hot and too cold inside The Gambia now? Fear has frozen the hearts of our people whereas the excessive heat that is coming from Yahya Jammeh is way too hot to bear on our scalps at the same time. When will the heat de-freeze the fear in our frozen hearts then? I believe they are already being de-frozen!  Trying to ignore what is obtaining within this circle of effervescence inside Banjul is like trying to ignore the sun rays during day time. No one can unless if the person has lost his or her eye sight! Even blind people can feel the heat from the sun rays people!

I am calling on all Gambians home and abroad to organize a forum as soon as possible therefore come up with an Intellectual blue print thus add to what has already been used to AGITATE. We have one the most vibrant media houses in the USA today. That is a plus! We already have conductors of all messages. What is left now? Organizational discipline or coordination. We can do it brothers and sisters we can! We must work on one single platform that should be based on impartiality without the influence of any political party at this hour. We must organize ourselves and create an organized structure with organizational discipline as soon as possible. We must create units, committees, and the like in various parts of the world with the help of our vibrant journalists thus bring our efforts and opinions together right away. Synchronizing all these efforts is doable soonest. Leadership is not the issue at this point, the issue at hand is organization and discipline towards that organization. We can help create committee or committee which can be ushering matters where the need arises. No need to lean on so-called icons or identified leaders per se at this point. We have produce results within a single line where ORGANIZATIONAL DISCIPLINE IS CHOSEN AS THE LEADER. Discipline here is not meant to match cultural teachings alone, discipline here is meant to match effective services through networking, organization and coordination. Everybody inside and outside The Gambia today Knows that those of us in Diaspora today are not lukewarm at all.

We also know that those opposing Jammeh within the territory have no space to breathe. How on earth can Jammeh organize elections when the campaign manager of one of the party’s is in jail for holding a rally? Is that not mockery? Of course it is. Who can jail Femi Peters who is one of Africa’s finest political brains for holding a rally and then call yourself a democrat? Even if he was released today it is too late Yahya Jammeh. You have already scratched the bottom pit and you pay for it! I swear you will! People have been convinced that there is something out there that can tackle Yahya Jammeh and he himself knows this as a matter of fact. That in itself is a starter. Therefore we must coordinate all efforts at this time AS SOON AS POSSIBLE therefore make it possible. In one of my statements during the bi-weekly programs on radio freedom we shared some views where we made reference to certain forces(behind the scenes) who will be more than happy to stand side by side with us to restore the rule of law in The Gambia. Well I believe within a week or two the whole world has seen what has been taking place. In that regard I must salute the Gambians in the United Kingdom, USA-New York, Washington, Seattle. The way we have been on the platform of proactive approaches is definitely wonderful! We have already started seeing open support from different places and I am going to openly declare that more is on the way. We are not subversive. We are not an underground movement. We do things in the open and in a very responsible way. The regime in Banjul cannot escape the drag net that has been created. Watch us and see. Us here is all concerned Gambians home and abroad. Like I said before, there are different  categories of revolutions. Some do creep and then hit after a while whereas others do erupt at once. We will never relent or give up until Yahya Jammeh understands that determination wins any war. He knows those who are writing and talking from the UK,USA, and other places. He knows deep inside his heart that some people are born not to give up. I can say with confidence that this trend is going to set an example for all African dictators. We have already seen Guinea. We have seen Ghana. We have seen other places in Africa. We are no different. Gambia deserves better.

The whole world knows elections are a façade under President Yahya Jammeh. Even if he were to be removed this evening any responsible regime would have refreshed the button of governance before doing anything else. Nothing under Jammeh now can continue to usher a nation through a democratic process! All the structures around him are symbolic within the context of form but not substance. We have DYNASTY in The Gambia today. We have a one party state. We have a one-man show being called a government. We have a country where being an opposition is the same as being subversive. We have a government that is not accountable to anyone therefore the very reason why a third force has started emerging and this force will be there to help bring back sanity.  To be candid I could have easily created a political party and run for elections with some representatives on the ground to handle matters but I would not do so. Doing so means trying to trust shadows in the dark! Who in his right mind will ever run matters for a flag bearer called Essa Bokarr Sey under Yahya Jammeh right inside The Gambia? No one will ever venture that under a callous killer like our paranoid dictator. There and then is why democracy has been wounded and it is bleeding inside The Gambia. Any person or organization that is there to help check and balance Jammeh’s actions is called subversive or seditious. Why would I or anyone waste his or her time on partisan politics anymore under the current situation. We know that our opposition is mature and civil but there is no democracy inside The Gambia. The priorities now are supposed to be geared towards removing the regime through pressure from within and without then we start thinking about rallies and the like. President Yahya Jammeh has already pre-empted the process. He said at Sankulaykunda while inaugurating the “noisiest project in Africa” that he will WIN the 2011 elections. Even if he did not say so I for one will never ever sit and think that Jammeh will leave power at ease. He  also threatened people who do not vote for him that they will never benefit from government projects. The latter I believe is enough ground to impeach a sitting president where democracy is existing. Not in The Gambia! If Jawara had said so in the past Yahya Jammeh might have over thrown him earlier than 1994!

On the other hand President Jammeh and TAIPEI combined constitutes  the only source of income for the IEC-The Independent Electoral Commission(which is more dependent than dependency itself!). For those who do not know what is taking place inside The Gambia, it is our duty as Gambians to educate them. When some people hear about IEC they equate it to those in other places where democracy is thriving. That is why I and others wrote documents and circulated them to all corners of the world therefore show them that our IEC is not the IECs they think about! This has been very effective. The creeping results will hit on their desks as time goes on.

FACTS THE STATE HOUSE IN BANJUL CANNOT DISPUTE!

The head of The Gambia’s IEC was appointed by President Yahya Jammeh! The IEC receives all its funding from Jammeh cum Taiwan. Jammeh is Taiwan and Taiwan is Jammeh during the current regime. That is why at the UN we made sure Taiwano-Gambian relations are revisited with keen interest. On that note, I am warning Taiwan that they will now onwards be facing stiff resistance from some member states when The Gambia tries to sell their agenda at the UN. I will be making calls to my former colleagues in that body and tell them to educate  their heads of missions and heads of state to counter all resolutions that The Gambia government sponsors or co-sponsor in favor of Taiwan. I will use my personal experience to spear head that. Taiwan is helping KILL GAMBIANS by giving money to a President who kills them! Taiwan will come to know if a few people cannot block Its agenda. Let them lean on Jammeh and see what we can do on the sides too. Regardless of Taiwan’s money we as Gambians have something they need from us and that is being a member state at the UN. They cannot be blinded by their people’s interest to the extent of helping see all decent Gambians be sentenced to death! Taiwan cannot stay aloof or be indifferent. We will make sure that they also lose some countries they had on their side. Let Taipei watch us and see. How can Taiwan stay there saying they are fighting for independence from Mainland China while they themselves are helping maintain dictatorial regimes. Let them also know that my articles will be shared with people in  places they the Taiwanese  will be holding meetings. They will see if money can buy everyone. Already two African countries have been convinced to leave Taipei during my trip to New York. We will fight back because Taiwan is after Its interest therefore cares less if he kills every Gambian as far as they get what they want from him. We will stand up for ourselves Taipei watch us and see!
