Masaneh Kinteh Is Still The CDS

As Jammeh Rescinds Sacking

It appears that President Jammeh rescinded his decision to fire Army Chief of Staff Major General Masaneh Kinteh. Mr. Kinteh reported to work today (Wednesday) but he looked very worried.  He is the CDS as we report. Our original story was premised on information received from State House insiders.  State House insiders said Mr. Jammeh is still looking for Masaneh Kinteh’s replacement.

Meanwhile, Momodou Lamin Jarju, AKA “Mola”, a  former army Colonel has been appointed as the new Director of Prisons.  He replaces David Kolly, who was moved to the Interior Ministry.  Mola was also the former NIA Director. He was fired from the military.
