Congratulations on your Cum Laude

By Oceanic Lad

Dear Editor,

I happily join the world in congratulating you on your academic success. It is indeed resounding as a 3.55 represents great distinction or Cum Laude in academic parlance. I am proud to have served as a moral supporter to you throughout this process. It was a long way gone but blossomed with hopeful flowers.I urge you to continue your pursuit of education to the zenith. I do not think many of our journalists in the Gambia possess academic qualifications like you just earned yourself,so it can be worthwhile to heed Fankung's call for  a return to deliver your expertise but not until the professor leaves.

London Letter: If truth be told … Tumbul Tamba’s dignified death

Editor,

I am appalled, truly appalled by the story I read today on the net about Tumbul Tamba’s death. I tell you, even when ALL the Gambian online media were attacking me, I took it on the chin. But today I am truly appalled and saddened by the disgraceful story about Tumbul Tamba’s death (I am NOT defending anything he may or may not have done in his job as President Jammeh’s Principal Protection Officer). But I am truly appalled by the way his hospitalization at RVTH and his death is reported. That story is simply false. Period. I visited the man EVERY day while he was in hospital, bringing him and his two wives food and drink.

But as conditions gets worst, I have chosen to stay out of Gambia, until the next regime. People like you should be in the frontline when that happens. I wish you, sincerely, all the best for your work, and for a better future of The Gambia!!,” Writes a Norwegian Citizen.
