Horomsi: Armed Intervention, Or Civil Disobedience- Which Way For The Gambia?

Horomsi:  Armed Intervention, Or Civil Disobedience- Which Way For The Gambia?

Horomsi:  The Gambia has reached a stage in which there is absolute need for military intervention.  I concur entirely with Mathew Kali Jallow. Yahya Jammeh has created the precedence for his removal-be it electoral, or military. The time has come for revolutionary literature to be preached in The Gambia.  This knuckle head got to go. Jammeh should be captured death or alive. To his supporters crying foul, we say go to hell. The interest of The Gambia, overrides the personal interest of Yahya Jammeh. I Horomsi will rejoice over the death of Yahya Jammeh, because he has caused untold misery, and suffering for our people. Here is a man, who prides himself with killing, jailing, torturing, and humiliating his countrymen with impunity. Therefore, no one should cry in the event of Jammeh’s demise.

Halifa Sallah Announces His Intention To Join Sam Sarr In Prison!!!

By Halifa Sallah

Source: Foroyaa Newspaper

Mr. President,
It is now 3am in the morning. Sleep has surrendered to high level mental alert. Morning has enveloped my mind before the break of dawn. This is of course not unusual for those on whose shoulders rest the welfare of others. Such people have too little sleep to dream. What comes as dreams and nightmares to others stand right before their eyes as the naked realities they have to ponder during the early hours of the morning. Just as in the case of the witchcraft fiasco, duty has compelled me to knit my brow to find solution to a National tragedy.

Scales Praises Halifa Sallah

Dear Mr. Editor,

What becomes apparent to this Englishman, is the depth of human emotion, felt for the condition of Sam Sarr, Pap Saine and poor childless Sarata. I must confess I do not know very much about their colleagues, presently consigned to Jammeh's dark and disgusting dungeon. Having spent the best part of 20 years living with and being married to African's,

Is Surata Marong Comparing  Jammeh With God?

Check This Out….. Familiarity Breeds Contempt!!

Dear Mr. Editor,

Please Mr. Mbai, allow me a space in your widely read news media to express my opinion. I definitely expect you will be publishing divergent views with regards to Gambia issues for the interest of all. Thanks for taking your time.

 Familiarity Breeds Contempt!!

Anger without power is folly. Am not stirring a debate or trying to compare president Jammeh with anybody or anything.

Am aware of the fact that, all president Jammeh`s supporters are considered opportunists. But am not!! I like the guy for his sincerity, his good heart, his true love he has for Gambia, and the development initiative he is embarking on since he took the office of the president 15 years ago.

Former Observer MD Pays Tribute To Absconded Editor Kemo Cham!!

Greetings Gentlemen,

Here is a piece on Kemo Cham - sad they all have to run.

London Letter: Daily Observer Chief Editor Kemo Cham - Good, Gifted & Gambian.

 15 Nov 2008

Nothing gives me more pleasure than to applaud good Gambians. Those who can remember my full page features in the Daily Observer will recall “Pride of The Gambia” features when I highlighted the achievements of the likes of London’s Lawyer Ousman Mbai (the son of Fafa Mbai) and footballer young Jaiteh in Norway (the son of Banta Jaiteh). We also published many excellent intellectual pieces by Gambians, including Kebba Dibba of GRTS (who unfortunately preferred to keep a low profile – because he was a thorough-bred horse following a donkey to whom he had to defer!). But now I must praise my own thorough-bred Gambian.

Horomsi: Yankuba Touray Detained, As  He Tries To Abscond From Gambia!!!

NIA IMPOUNDED TOURAY’S PASSPORT!!!

Horomsi:  Our good friend Yankuba Touray is still determined to leave the country. We heard that he was apprehended at the Banjul sea port recently, while trying to abscond from the jurisdiction of The Gambia. Navy officials saw him when he tried  to charter a late night canoe in Banjul. Poor Yankuba was arrested, and subjected to merciless beatings by his captives. A team of NIA officials later showed up at the scene, where he was handcuffed and taken for questioning.  At the NIA, Yanks was asked to surrender his Gambian passport, which contained a United Kingdom visa. He was held for hours before he was released on bail.
