9New details have emerged from the State House in Banjul, about dictator Yahya Jammeh’s well premeditated political theatre, coined purposely to hide under the disguise of retiring from the Presidency, only for the mischievous despot Jammeh to turn around and discreetly use his political operatives in town to rally “anti Jammeh retirement from the Presidency” after his planned upcoming pronouncement to quit his job, the Freedom Newspaper can reveal. Jammeh’s propaganda machine is in full gears and in fact they have started touring the country, asking ruling APRC supporters to organize nationwide protest marches to rally against their leader’s fake planned resignation from the Presidency.
Banjul is going to be very interesting in coming weeks and months. Jammeh has strategized a political maneuvering scheme in an attempt to circumvent ECOWAS’s recent term limit proposed for the region’s Presidency. The recent Dakar ECOWAS Summit reechoed the proposed plan to discourage self perpetual rule on the continent. President Macky Sall’s views on the matter was globally indexed and documented. His counterpart Robert Mugabe of Zimbabwe spoke against term limit.
Mr. Jammeh of The Gambia, woefully failed to show up at the Dakar ECOWAS meeting. Jammeh now wants to legitimize his dictatorial rule by claiming that Gambians are against him (Jammeh) stepping down from the Presidency, even whereas he has plans to falsely announce his resignation from the Presidency.
In the meantime, Jammeh’s political operatives such as National Assembly Majority Leader Fabakary Tombong Jatta, House Speaker Abdoulie Bojang, KMC Mayor Yankuba Colley, Babou Gaye Sonko, State House Imam Momodou Lamin Touray, including other influential APRC party stalwarts have been mobilizing folks to storm the State House after Jammeh had made his bogus planned announcement to quit the Presidency. The deranged Kanilai dictator has handed couple of millions of dalasi to his political operatives to induce his already starving followers to organize anti Jammeh resignation marches across the nation.
Mr. Jammeh is likely to address the nation on Sunday, before travelling to the United States to address the UN General Assembly on Tuesday. His US trip has not been finalized yet, but sources said the dictator has strategized a political propaganda scheme calculated to deceive oppressed Gambians and the international community.
Under the proposed “fake resignation plan from the Presidency,” Jammeh is eying Speaker Abdoulie Bojang, who happens to be his Uncle to replace him. But sources have hinted that Jammeh is not going anywhere. He has no serious intention of relinquishing power. He is under pressure from ECOWAS, donor partners and the international community to initiate political reforms, our source said.
In another development, dictator Yahya Jammeh has been finding replacement for his Foreign Minister Neneh Macdouall Gaye, but without much success. Jammeh has contacted two Gambians for the post, but they both declined to serve his regime. Higher Education Minister Abubacarr Senghore, the former occupant of the post, is likely to be reassigned to the Foreign Ministry to replace Neneh, sources said. The relationship between Jammeh and Mrs. Neneh Macdouall Gaye has been strained in recent months.
