The Gambian government delegation, who were tasked by dictator Yahya Jammeh to negotiate for the reopening of the border with the Senegalese government has returned home with no positive results, the Freedom Newspaper can reveal. The delegation couldn’t succeed in convincing the Senegalese government to reopen the border. They were told to sort out whatever grievances that might have transpired between them and the Senegalese transport union. The Jammeh delegation left Dakar with shame. They were reduced to bunch of idiots and mediocre officials.
When the Jammeh delegation approached the Senegalese transport union, they were told that they cannot begin any discussions with the delegation in the absence of their colleagues in The Gambia. It would be recalled that the mad Kanilai monster recently disbanded The Gambia National Transport Control Association. He also arrested and detained the Executive Members of the Association including its President Moumini Sey. One of the GNTCA officials Sheriff Dibba died while under the custody of the police.
Meanwhile, the Jammeh delegation has made an undertaking to meet the demands of the Senegalese transport union. One of the undertakings the delegation made was to reconstitute the disbanded transport union. This means that the GNTCA would be revived in coming days.
The APRC National Mobilizer and KMC Mayor Yankuba Colley, has been tasked by Jammeh to meet with the former GNTCA officials. Colley’s meeting with the GNTCA officials has been scheduled to April 5th 2016.
Once The Gambia reconstitutes the disbanded GNTCA, it would notify the Senegalese transport union. Folks, this border debacle is biting Jammeh on the butt. Jammeh is now dancing to the tune of the Senegalese government. Interesting times.
