A High Court judge is today expected to rule in the case of Gambia’s opposition leader Ousainou Darboe and co, the Freedom Newspaper can reveal. Justice Eunice Dada Ohshim, told a packed courtroom on Tuesday that she would deliver her judgment on Wednesday in the case of Darboe and co. The judgment has been slated to be delivered at 4:00 PM GMT.
Meanwhile, the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) Hadi Salea Barkun said: “ The state had filed their address and urged the court to convict all the accused persons.”
If convicted, the accused persons risked spending time in jail. The UDP leader and his co accused persons have refused to put up a defense throughout their trial.
Justice Dada is expected to decide the fate of the accused persons later this afternoon. We will keep you posted with developments.
