With few hours before Gambia’s so called July 22nd military takeover celebrations, a nearly deadly automobile accident has occurred, the Freedom Newspaper can reveal. The acting chief of Gambisara was among those injured. He was immediately rescued and rushed to the Francis Small Teaching Hospital in Banjul for further medical attention. The acting Chief’s conditions is said to be stable.
A source writing to us said: “Pa, How are you. I just got information that the acting chief of Gambisara, was involved in a car accident. He has been rushed to Banjul. He’s not thought to be in danger. He was on his way to Banjul for the 22nd July celebration when tyres busted. His driver was left behind in Soma, where he spent the night.”
The July 22nd celebrations are often characterized by accidents. In some instances, people die as a result of over speeding and bad roads.
The main man behind the celebrations Yahya Jammeh is likely not going to grace the occasion, according to his Protocol. The panic stricken dictator is increasingly concerned about his safety and personal security, following the illegal jailing of the UDP leader Ousainou Darboe and his followers. He fears that a rogue loner might avenge his undesirable activities towards the people of this country. Jammeh is currently chilling in Kanilai.
