PDOIS PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATESpeaking to a large crowd, Dembo Bojang, AKA (Dembo By force) the co-chair of the Gambia Opposition for Electoral Reform (GOFER) told the crowd that “now is the time for change which everyone is yearning for whether you talk about it or not but we all need change and that change only the coalition is the solution to that.”

“We are paying taxes but don’t know where that money is spent and you are not also benefiting from that money either. So we will know whether Gambian people truly love themselves and if you do; then you will vote for the coalition and we will surely bring change to our great nation. So for that being the case, we are seeking for your vote come December 1st and we will make it.” he said.

Also speaking was Dr. Isatou Touray, whose speech was mostly directed to the women folks.  She advised and appealed to them to make sure that they vote for the coalition.

“Women now is the time to effect change. If you vote for change, you are voting for your own benefit because the most suffering people in this country are women; because you work day and night, but with no meaningful gain and whilst you still continue to suffer, so the best thing to do is to try another thing different and see whether it will work for you because seeing is believing,” she said.

Ms. Touray further emphasizes to the women to make sure that they put their votes in the right place stressing that the coalition is the place for them. She assured the women that no matter what they should not sell their voters’ card because that’s their rights and voice.
