It is a bad week for dictator Yahya Jammeh. The Nigerian mercenary lawyers and judges, he was hoping to rely on for his “legal fix” to nullify President elect Adama Barrow’s electoral victory, have abandoned him at the eleventh hour, the Freedom Newspaper can report. Jammeh, has been thrown under the bus by his Nigerian mercenary lawyers at the Attorney Generals’ and Ministry of Justice.
The Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) Hadi Saleh Bakum, and his Deputy, both Nigerian nationals are on the run. They have fled the Gambia, according to competent judicial sources. The duo have left the country hours before the scheduled election petition filed by Jammeh before the Supreme Court.
The DPP and his Prosecution staff have decided to leave town before it is too late. Hence, the duo quitted their jobs without informing their boss Justice Minister Mama Singhateh, and Yahya Jammeh. There is no DPP and Deputy DPP at this hour at the AG Chambers’.
Jammeh is not only faced with lack of lawyers to argue his case in court, the Supreme court, which was due to sit on Tuesday, lacks the quorum to hear his petition. The Nigerian government refused to assign judges to partake in the sham proceedings. A letter below can confirm our reportage.
