The son of Gambia’s President elect Adama Barrow, has been bitten to death by a dog, the Freedom Newspaper can authoritatively report. The incident happened last night in Manjie-Kunda. Eight year old Habibou Barrow, died after he was bitten by a dog, sources said.
A source, who reached the Freedom Newspaper said: “ I can confirm to you that President elect Barrow’s son has been killed by a dog at Manjie. I am just from the death house in Banjul. Hamat Bah and the Coalition Team are there. The boy is eight years old. Barrow’s sister was also at the death house. She said the President’s son passed away.”
The Freedom Newspaper contacted President elect Adama Barrow’s media Team via email to shed light on the story and this is what they had to say: “Yes, Habibou Barrow passed away last night after being bitten by a dog. He was 8 years old son of the second wife of Adama Barrow. He will be laid to rest today at 2 pm.”
In a follow up email, this medium said: “Thanks for the prompt and timely response. May his soul rest in perfect peace. Do you know what happen? What was he doing in Manjai at the time of the incident? What’s President elect Barrow’s reaction? Do you suspect any foul play?”
In response, the Transition Media Team remarked: “Honestly, the media team is not aware. The boy was not staying in Barrow house in Brufut.”
