Senegalese security officials have reportedly arrested a leading member of former Gambian dictator Yahya Jammeh’s assassin team member General Borra Colley, the Freedom Newspaper can reveal. Mr. Colley, who fled the country, following the fall of dictator Jammeh, was arrested in the Southern province of Casamance, sources said. He is being brought to Dakar, for interrogation sources added.
Mr. Borra Colley, used to be the Kanilai Camp Commander, before he was redeployed to the prisons as a Director, and later to the GAF Headquarters. He used to command and direct the activities of the jungullars. He has been complicit in the murder of numerous Gambians. Among the documented assassination he took part was the failed assassinations of Lawyer Ousman Sillah.
Mr. Colley, is today a captured fugitive. He was trying to evade justice and in the process he got captured by the Senegalese security forces.
A source writing to us said: “Hey Pa, for your information, the Senegalese authorities arrested Borra Colley yesterday in Casamance. He is being brought to Dakar for interrogation. “
