The Gambia Armed Forces football club claimed Gambia football federation League title for the second time in the history of the club after defeating Serekunda United three goals to nil at Father Gough mini Stadium in Manjai Kunda yesterday. This was confirmed after Bombada managed to dashed Real De Banjul title hopes by thrashing them two goals to one at Brikama Box Bar.

The Kaki boys under the leadership of Coach Jarra are champions with two matches to go.  They will receive a cash prize of D300,000 and start preparing for CAF club championship late this year. The GFF favorites Real de Banjul will have to fight for the FA trophy against Hawks later.

The GAF team invested heavily this season is getting the right players and the hottest coach in town, Mr Jarra to win the league. The players received all sorts of motivation to bring the glory to the men in uniform. The fans always travel with the entertaining army band to cheer the boys up.

It is open secret that Mr Lamin Kaba Bajo Gambia football federation still failed in making the right early decision which in conjunction might not favor that of Real de Banjul in the title challenge. Armed Forces has a clear appeal case against Ports Authority FC but this was all along frustrated by The Gambia football federation just to make sure Real De Banjul vise president Bakary Jammeh’s will see the decision not to be delivered on time. And many believes that Bakery K Jammeh who is the elder brother of former government sports minster under dictator Yahya Jammeh is one of the main decision makers in football house in The Gambia.
