Sources close to the police headquarters have reliably informed  this medium that there was a major reshuffle at the police headquarters. According to sources, the chief of police operation Commissioner Landing Bojang has being re-deployed to Banjul Station as the Commissioner of Police Banjul Division. He is replaced by commissioner Modou Gaye who was commissioner Planning and Policy Implementation.

Sources also stated that, CMC Assistant Commissioner Bubacarr Sarr who is redeployed as the new Deputy CMC has also been replace by commissioner Demba Sowe who was commissioner INTERPOL and CIU. Deputy Commissioner Abdoulie Sanneh who was the Commissioner of police Airport has moved to man the INTERPOL and CIU as the commissioner of Police, while former Assistant Commissioner Pateh Bah, has be re-deployed as Commissioner of Police Airport.

When contacted the police PRO Inspector Foday Conta for clarification, he confirmed the story but was quick to say that this was just a normal routine in police Operations, that sometimes officers are bound to reshuffle from one office to the other for continuous positive work delivery, effectiveness and efficiency.
