A major prison break has taken place in the impoverished nation of the Gambia, the Freedom Newspaper can reveal. Over twenty (20) prisoners at the Remand Wing of the Jeshwang prison have broken jail and are currently on the run. Some of the prisoner escapees were jailed for different offenses. They are currently at large.

“Currently, dozens of security operatives are dispatched for a massive manhunt for the worst jail break in Gambian history,” said our security source, who wished to remain anonymous.

There has been increased in crimes since President Adama Barrow assumed the mantle of leadership in the country. Armed robberies, pickpocketing, and street fight are common occurrences in the Gambia.
